Lucas Orthodontics Medical Brand Identity & Logo Design

The Practice

Lucas Orthodontics provides genuine, conservative care in Folsom, California. The practice wanted to move away from clinical, sterile branding and embrace the outdoor lifestyle of its community, with an identity that would feel as natural on a t-shirt worn around town as on the front of the clinic building.

The Design

I designed a badge-style logo that features the silhouette of the local Sierra Nevada mountains, cleverly integrating a subtle smile curve into the ridgeline. The teal and grey colour palette feels fresh and modern rather than medical, and the circular badge holds its shape everywhere the practice needs it: on the exterior signage of the stone-clad clinic, as dimensional 3D signage on the rustic wood panel wall of the reception area, on the teal branded feature wall behind the team, and as wallpaper on the office screens. An extensive merchandise line of custom t-shirts, including designs built around local Folsom themes, turns patients into brand ambassadors and fosters a strong sense of community pride.

The Result

The brand now lives well beyond the clinic walls. Patients proudly wear the custom t-shirts around Folsom, turning everyday wear into organic marketing for the practice. Inside the office, a wall displaying the full range of t-shirt designs has become part of the interior itself. The mountain badge has become a local symbol that connects orthodontic care with community identity, giving Lucas Orthodontics a presence that feels rooted in the Sacramento Valley landscape.
