How this website handles your information
Last updated: October 16, 2026
This policy explains how joaoqueiros.com collects and uses information when you browse the website, send a message, complete the logo design brief, or click links to external platforms.
Information you send through forms
When you use the contact form or logo design brief, the site collects the details you choose to provide, such as your name, email address, company name, project details, audience, design preferences, and message content. This information is used to reply to you, understand your project, prepare a quote or recommendation, and manage the design process.
The Brand Readiness Check and The Brand Letter
The Brand Readiness Check runs in your browser. Your answers are not sent anywhere unless you ask for the full report. If you do, the site stores your email address, your score, your score band, which questions scored lowest, the page you signed up on, the date, and the exact consent wording you agreed to. Nothing else about your answers is kept.
This is used to send your report and the Founder’s Brand Kit, and then The Brand Letter, about once a month. The legal basis is your consent, given with a checkbox that is never ticked for you, and confirmed by clicking a link in an email (double opt-in). João also receives a short note when someone confirms, so he can see which score bands find the check useful.
Sign-ups that are never confirmed are deleted after 7 days. Confirmed subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing deletes your stored record. The data is kept in private files on this website’s hosting server, outside the public website, and emails are sent from hello@joaoqueiros.com through that same host. Your address is never sold or shared, and server logs only keep a one-way hashed fingerprint, never the address itself.
Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics 4, PostHog, and Humblytics to understand how visitors use the site. Analytics events may include page views, CTA clicks, portfolio engagement, blog engagement, external link clicks, contact form progress, contact form success, and logo brief progress. PostHog and Humblytics may also provide anonymous session replay, heatmap-style diagnostics, or experiment diagnostics depending on the active analytics settings. Analytics helps improve the website and understand which content is useful.
If you arrive from a Google Ads campaign, the site may preserve campaign parameters such as UTM values, Google click identifiers, the landing page, and the referring page. These details may be sent with contact or brief submissions so João can understand which campaigns produce useful enquiries. Advertising storage, ad personalization, and ad user data are set to denied by default in Google Consent Mode until a dedicated consent mechanism is added.
Anti-spam and security
Forms may use anti-spam checks such as hidden fields, timing checks, rate limiting, IP-based submission limits, and basic spam detection. These checks help protect the website from automated submissions and abuse.
External links
The site links to external services such as Behance, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, Vimeo, Etsy, Google Drive, and the AI Lab subdomain. Those services have their own privacy practices and policies.
How long information is kept
Form submissions and project communications may be kept for as long as needed to respond to your enquiry, manage a project, keep business records, or maintain a client relationship. You can request deletion of your personal information when it is no longer needed for these purposes.
Your choices
You can avoid analytics cookies by using your browser privacy controls, cookie settings, or blocking tools. You can also contact João to ask what information is held about you, request corrections, or request deletion where applicable.
