The Company
Catalina Masonry is a specialized division of QCP, focused on manufacturing architectural details like wall caps, pilaster caps, and pool coping. The brand needed to communicate both industrial strength and artisanal precision.
The Design
We developed a clean, architectural wordmark that reflects the structure and stability of masonry products. The typography is modern and sharp, utilizing a stylized ‘A’ to mimic the shape of a structural support beam. The earthy color palette and textured applications (like embossed leather) emphasize the tangible, high-quality nature of the materials.
The Result
The architectural wordmark now appears across product stamps, vehicle wraps, and trade show displays for QCP’s masonry division. The embossed leather application became a signature brand moment, reinforcing the tactile, handcrafted quality that sets Catalina apart from mass-market competitors. Contractors and architects have responded positively to the elevated positioning, helping the brand win specification placements on higher-end residential projects throughout Southern California.
